MAIN OBJECTIVES:

  • To learn the importance of recycling as a way to save trees and improve quality of life.
  • To use language (images and words) to foster ecological awareness in inhabitants of cities throughout a virtual photographic campaign.
  • To use imperative form as a way to invite potential viewers to join the campaign.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Watch the video posted in activity A, take notes about the importance of recycling and the ways people do to be part of it.
  2. Go to the link in activity B, read the article to learn about "Ecology".
  3. Go to the link in activity C, read the article, answer the questions.
  4. In activity D, watch the video,build a chain of events based on a cause-and-effect list.
  5. The photographs in activity E shows pollution and conditions of life in pollution. Take 3 photographs in your neigborhood or around it where you show anti-pollution, or protection of nature, or saving trees. Use the background learnt about ecology, and the importance of trees and recycling for our lives.
  6. Use Power Point or Paint to label the photographs, save them and send them to [email protected]

Go to  http://ecology.com/features/whatisecology/index.html read the article then sumarize the main ideas by writing the thesis of the article, the arguments, examples or details the author uses to explain what ecology is.

To organize your ideas you could use some noting detail organizers. Check some of them.

1- Plan your own campaign based on the need your own community has.

2- Use the clues given in the link above.

3- Use Prezi http://prezi.com/your/ to build yor campaingn.

 ACTIVITY D:

Watch the video and identify the chain of events occured, then write a cause-and-effect list of events and the final result, post them in "feedback link". Infer the message of the video, give arguments for your answer. Use the "feedback link"  to post your answer.
